Blogging For Money - Why it All Boils Down to Time

If you think you've got what it takes to make a blog make money online, then go ahead and begin making that million. But while you may be technically knowledgeable about writing, link-building, backtracking, keywords and all, you could still be missing the whole point of successful blogging: time. All successful blogs need time. Unless you're already a celebrity, you're going to need months and maybe a year to be able to establish your credibility and to convince people that you deserve to be read.

A lot of good writers out there begin a blog but don't really stick to it until they achieve anything significant. That's because, again, they're missing the whole point. The most crucial time for a blog is actually the first three to six months of its existence. Usually, this is when a blogger knows what kind of future his project may be headed for. This is not to say, however, that one has to be making millions within this time frame. But somehow, from three to six months, a trend will have developed in terms traffic growth. It's also important to remember that because there are topics that can naturally attract more traffic than others, your choice of what to blog about will also play a role in the success of your blog.

Another thing that those who've quit may have overlooked is the fact that a blog's success has a lot to do with content volume. And the reasons are pretty obvious. The more posts you have, the more there is to read about and the more people will probably be reading them. In other words, the amount of information you have naturally counts. If you've been blogging for two months, you can't possibly put in a number of posts equivalent to what a year of blogging would amount to. Again, this is all about time. You need time to accumulate a good volume of content in your blog. Thus, you need time to gain more traffic.

It's also important to remember that within the first few months, you need to spend more time writing posts instead of promoting your blog. Remember that people read blogs for information and the more information you have, the more people will come to read it. In the beginning, it is most certainly important to work on writing post after post until you have accumulated a significant number for you to start promoting your blog in the social media networks.

Making money blogging is, therefore, a matter of time. You need time create establish your credibility and you need time to accumulate a sufficient volume of posts in order for you to actually begin to make money blogging.
